It all started in the early year where people started using vices for various industrial purposes such as drilling, sawing, planning.it is basically a mechanical device used to hold workpiece (it is an integrated tool used in many woodworking and metalworking application) in a specific position or an angle in which the engineer wants to and perform various operations on the workpiece such as drilling, sawing, planning, milling, grinding.
A vise might not be the first thing you should be looking for your workshop but maybe it could be. vises designs have been developed from years to years as the improving technology but the basic design has not changed from years.it might be the most essential tool you might be looking for your workshop.
It is simply a tool used to hold a workpiece tightly so that it can be secured, there are two parallel jaws in vice which when squeezed together holds the workpiece tightly.vices are used in woodworking, metalworking, electronics,model-making and in any situation where you want to keep your hands safely away from the workpiece and you can use both of your hands to perform operations on them.
simran tools international is one of the leading tool manufacturers and exporter from past years and dealing with customers throughout worldwide (countries like the united kingdom(UK), united states of America(USA), Canada, Europe). we manufacture different types of vises and export to our customers.we are known for our quality and timely delivery that is why our customers have trust toward us and buy tools from us more often. if you are looking to buy the best quality vices you must contact us.
How to choose the right vise for your workshop?
it mostly depends on, for what purpose the vise is being used for?.either it could be woodworking vice, engineer’s vice, machine vice and many other types of vices. various sizes of vises available with us according to the requirement of our customers. to hold a longer workpiece, longer vises are required which should have a longer throat. The throat depth, measured from the top of the jaws to the top of the slide below it, is also something to consider. A vise having a longer throat is capable of holding a larger workpiece securely.
Types Of Vises?
A) Toolmakers Vices
Toolmakers vices are square, ground on all the side .one can put on a workpiece inside the tool makers grinding vise and hold it on machine vice and perform milling operation on it.
Advantages of toolmakers vices(toolmakers vices vs machine vise)
Parallelism and squareness of all the sides are the main advantages
It does not require as much as of clamping force which might be required in a machine vice
Orientation is more important so you can do more delicate work on toolmakers vices than a regular vice hold on a machine.
Because of its squareness on all sides, it can be layout on any side and held on machine vice to perform operations on the workpiece.

F) Angle Plates
Angle plates are basically work holding devices which may be used as a fixture to hold a workpiece for various metalworking.
1) Tilting Table-Adjustable Angle Plate
Adjustable angle plates are a table for milling and drilling machine. The adjustable tilting angle plate is useful for holding the workpiece at any angle. The angle plate is adjustable to 180 degrees and can be set into a fixed position at any time horizontally or vertically
Heavy and Sturdy Machined Castings.
Range 45° each way from vertical.
Locking action by 2 clamping Screws on each end.
Low profile for low machine head clearance.
3 Machined “T” slots and Precise Ground Table Surface.
2) Swivel Angle Plate
Swivel angle plates are useful as work can be done quickly and more correctly by holding a workpiece at a specific angle as required with the adjustable swivel angle plates. In swivel, the angle plate workpiece can be held from 0-90 degrees and can be adjusted manually and locked in an adjustable position with the help of two locking nut in the adjustable swivel angle plate.
