Live center also known as revolving center , is constructed so that the 60° center runs in its own bearings and is used at the non-driven or tailstock end of a machine. It allows higher turning speeds without the need for separate lubrication, and also greater clamping pressures.
Live center has a 60 degree cone that spins smoothly. Cone is made with high quality precision bearings.
- Manufactured from high grade steel hardened point to impart extra strength.
- Hardened and ground with 600 point.
- Moreover, Speed capacity up to 2500 RPM.
- One double row Ball Bearing, one Thrust Bearing and one Needle Roller Bearing.
- Run out within .0002″ (.005 mm).
